1.Scope
This Policy covers information handled through the Platform. It does not cover what carriers, banks or other parties do with information outside the Platform.
2.Information we handle
- Account and contact information: names, business email addresses, company names, and login and security details of the people who use an account.
- Handover records: which accounts or email addresses sent, received and acted on each Digital Bill of Lading, and when, as recorded by the Platform.
- Security and usage data: IP addresses, device and browser information, and access logs.
- Correspondence with us.
The Platform does not use the contents of any Bill of Lading for any purpose other than storing it and transferring it between its parties.
3.How we use information
To operate, secure and support the Platform; to verify identity and authorize actions on an account; to keep the handover record of each dBL; to prevent fraud and misuse; to comply with the law; and to communicate with you about your account, transactions and fees.
4.Sharing
We share information only: with the other parties to a dBL, as needed for each handover and its record; with service providers that process it on our instructions and for no other purpose; where the law, a court or an authority requires; and with a successor operator of the Platform. We do not sell information.
5.International transfers
Users of the Platform are in many countries. Information may be stored and processed in countries other than yours, including the United States.
6.Retention
Handover records are kept for the period set out in the agreement that governs the dBL. Account information is kept while the account exists and for a reasonable time afterwards for legal, security and record-keeping purposes.
7.Security
We apply technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No system is completely secure.
8.Your requests
You may ask us to access, correct or delete your account information by contacting us. Handover records may be kept even if you ask for deletion.
